Baccarat Bets, Hands and Rules

This version of Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards – with the jokers removed.

Place your bet(s) on the table in the area labeled Player, Tie, Banker. Once the bet has been placed the two hands will be dealt. Two hands of cards are dealt, one for the Player and one for the Banker. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five (5) or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card.

The winning hand will be the one whose value is closest to nine (9). The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards.

· Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat.

· Aces are worth 1 point.

· All other cards are counted at face value.

· Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column

Example:

Hand Hand Total
9+7=16 6
5+5+5=15 5
10+9=19 Natural 9

Once the winning hand is determined the game is over. If the hand you bet on wins you will be paid out according to the rules in the Table Limits and payout section.

After the first two cards are dealt to both the Player and Dealer, a third card may be dealt but the player does not ask for a third card. Additional cards are subject to the third card rules and no hand receives more than three cards.

When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand is declared a Tie.

NOTE:

· A tie that you did not bet on pays back your ante.

If the value of the cards in either the Player's Hand or the Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 (a "natural") after receiving their initial two cards then no more cards shall be dealt to either hand.

If the value of the cards in the Banker's hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the Player's hand shall draw in accordance with the third card rules.

Third Card Rules

History

A list of the previous wins is displayed on the right hand side of the screen. The letter 'B' indicates the Banker's hand, the letter 'P' indicates the Player's hand and a Tie is indicated by a dash. Consecutive wins by either the Banker or the Player are displayed in the same row. A new row is displayed when the Banker or Player starts a new winning streak. A Tie is considered part of the same winning streak and is always displayed in the same row as the previous winner.

It is not a secret that Baccarat variations differ from each other in some way. And in all of them the role of the bank is played differently, by different people, who are in the game. In Baccarat Chemin de Fer different players play the role of the banker, which passes form player to player in the clockwise direction every time the shooter loses. Throughout the game the player who plays the role of the banker will be provided with funds. A player may, if he or she wishes, pass up the opportunity to be the banker; in which case, it simply passes to the next person. Each Baccarat game has the same principle. The player’s hand to be as close to 9 as possible. The player, who plays the role of the banker, deals each player four cards, then the cards are turned over and their value is summed. A player having a total lower than five will usually draw another card, while a player with a hand greater than 5 will usually stand. Then the banker compares all the hands and the player with the closest to 9 hand is the winner and he gets paid.
