As the player you are given the choice of either betting on the banker hand winning, the player hand winning, or a tie between the two. Both the player and banker hands receive 2 card each. One of the hands will win. The player who has predicted the outcome right is a winner and he is paid even money. Even money is 1:1. You win an amount equal to your bet and you also keep your bet. Tie bet pays 8:1.
The goal of your two-card hand is to try and have a total that is close to 9. Cards are of different value. 10s and face cards have no value. It is 0. Other numbered cards are valued according to the number printed onthem. There is really only one tricky part: although there is no such thing as a 'busting hand' as in blackjack, when your initial card total is a two digit number, the first digit is dropped. If add the values off all your cards and it is for example 15, you subtract 10. The hand’s total is only 5.
In the case of the total of the first dealt cards being 8 or 9, this hand is called natural and this hand wins automatically. If both hands are natural, then it is a tie. If the total is not a natural win on either hand, another card is drawn for each hand to determine the winner. Winning banker hands are usually taxed 5 percent by the casinos.
